Windows – A Fragmented Vision of Light and Movement
"Windows" is a contemplative exploration of color, structure, and perception, where the interplay of fluid motion and rigid geometry creates an intricate visual rhythm. This acrylic on canvas composition invites the viewer to peer through its layered dimensions, much like looking through fragmented glass or shifting reflections on water.

The Process: Constructing Depth and Division
At its core, Windows is built upon a richly textured background, a sweeping blend of primary colors—deep blues, golden yellows, and hints of green—applied in an undulating motion. This technique creates a sense of organic movement, reminiscent of waves in constant flux or wind rippling across an open landscape.

Once the background had fully dried, I introduced a series of masking techniques, carefully sectioning off parts of the canvas to create the illusion of segmented space. Using spray paint, I revealed crisp, vertical lines, their boldness standing in stark contrast to the flowing background. These lines, alternating between white, navy, black, and red, form a structural grid-like framework, reminiscent of window panes or digital glitches, disrupting and reframing the underlying movement.

The contrast between the fluid, natural strokes and the sharp, precise divisions generates a fascinating tension—one that speaks to the duality of order and spontaneity, control and chaos.

Interpreting "Windows"
This piece is as much about what is seen as what is hidden. The vertical segments act as barriers and portals, suggesting themes of separation, transition, and perspective. The title Windows evokes multiple interpretations:

A window into a shifting landscape, where colors blur like light refracted through glass.
A window of perception, altering the way we engage with space, color, and movement.
A metaphor for the modern digital world, where visual input is often fractured, segmented, and reorganized into structured formats.
The viewer is encouraged to navigate between these elements, moving beyond the divisions to reconstruct the full picture in their own way.

A Minimalist Yet Expressive Statement Piece
"Windows" bridges the gap between abstract expressionism and geometric minimalism, making it an ideal addition to modern interiors, art collections, and spaces that embrace both structure and fluidity. Its ability to transform based on lighting and perspective makes it a versatile, ever-evolving visual experience.

Whether seen as a serene reflection or a bold dissection of space, Windows remains an open dialogue—an invitation to look beyond the surface and embrace the beauty of fragmented perception.
