Solar Rift – A Fracture of Fire and Light

Solar Rift is a wave of heat frozen in motion, a glowing rift where matter and energy collide. This piece captures the precise moment where fusion and fragmentation coexist, where light escapes from a perpetually shifting chaos.

The Process: An Alchemy of Fluidity and Impact
It all begins with a light yellow background, a luminous foundation that infuses intensity into the entire composition. Then, acrylic pouring brings forth a sea of metallic blue-gray, fiery red, and vibrant yellow, creating flowing currents of color in constant motion.

To break this fluidity, I used a screwdriver to scrape the surface, carving jagged lines like scars etched into the material. This raw intervention adds tension, giving the impression of an erupting surface.

Finally, spray paint dripping in black and white completes the piece, merging with the still-wet acrylic to create organic shapes. These splatters evoke particles launched into space, fragments of matter drifting within a cosmic rift.
